Position Overview:

As Technical Operations Manager in the Business Operations team, you will have full ownership to design and execute high impact, scalable processes for Expedia Group’s (EG) Partnership organisation.

We are looking for a candidate that has experience in balancing analytical prowess, that will improve the development of our business strategy, with deep experience in operations management.

Our team is an essential business partner to the wider Strategic Partnerships and Affiliates (SPA) organisation and thrives when building strong relationships with our Commercial, Product & Tech, Growth & Operations, Finance and Analytics teams.


Responsibilities:

  • You'll design and (re-)engineer processes that drive efficiencies in our partner management processes and unlocks scale
  • Frame the found opportunities into specific operation procedures and acquire agreement from key partners to implement these processes globally
  • Deliver research and analysis to generate penetrative insights upon which to evolve the Partnership business.
  • Apply your analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle unstructured problems and build strategic frameworks and models
  • Collaborate with P&T and other support functions to drive automation and technology simplification


Competencies:

  • Proven experience in an operations or strategic initiatives role or a similar role in a leading technology company
  • Exceptional project management skills - able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, perform under pressure, and lead inclusive and diverse project teams
  • Experience with technical systems and handling large volumes of data, including using SQL
  • Experience with programming languages R or Python preferred
  • Attention to detail and ability to distill complex processes operating in a matrixed environment into easy-to-understand concepts and redesigned operational processes
  • High-energy with a growth mentality. You will be a self-starter looking to have a positive impact on the business
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex concepts to senior leadership and commercial teams
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills, takes a data first approach to draw upon business insight where information is incomplete
  • Team player - thrives in a climate of inclusion and implements expansive strategies to bring a diverse set of perspectives to the team and solutions
